On a whim, I decided to look at deviant art. I'll admit, I hadn't been on here for about a year, and sadly, I've been too lazy to post any new artwork- don't get me wrong, I've got tons of stuff to put on here, it's just a matter of overcoming and ignoring the calls of my couch/bed. I've got quite a few new things to post up here. I've also been working on my novel like a madman.

So I work with kids at a babysitting service at a gym, where I look after kids while their parents work out. It's fun. Only, whenever I draw something, and this happens particularly when I actually like it, one of the kids will randomly color on it. I don't mind, but part of me wants to cry whenever they do that lol.

I've gotten way into baking/cooking medieval foods. I have three different cookbooks, and let me tell you, people knew how to cook in the middle ages. It's absolutely delicious. I might start posting photos of it on here if I ever manage to get off my lazy butt.

I finally had my first sword fighting class yesterday I'm gonna say, though, that I literally cannot lift my arms above my head... It was quite the work out, but it was so much fun. If anyone is curious, it's The United Clans Swordsman Association.

That was the only up.

The down is that Kyanne, my dog, will probably be euthanized by next week... She doesn't have much a desire to eat, so once she stops, it'll be the time to let her go. I'm still not sure how if I feel okay with it...

I know I've been neglecting the posting of things lately, but I've been doing drawings on larger paper that's too big to scan, and even if I wanted to, my scanner has been broken :/ I've done lots of animals (duh. Why wouldn't I? lol) such as a wolf, a snow leopard, etc... I've done a few decent paintings too. One that  need to get around to finishing is one that's like the sword in the stone. It's set in a forest, and the sword is actually the Grey warden's sword from Dragon Age.

So my dog Kyanne, the black chow-lab mix, hasn't been eating well for the past week. Usually, she gobbles up the food in just a few minutes, but she needed prompting to actually finish all of her food. So I took her to the vet yesterday. You know what the vet found? A tumor. Her lymph node was swollen and inflamed, but also hardened. He took a blood sample, but luckily found blood and one unknown cell, which he believed to be a lymph cell. The worst part of it all? He said it's either an abscess, or it could develop into cancer. The fact that he even suggested cancer was upsetting enough. He gave me medication and directions to put her on a wet food diet. But on the way home, I totally broke down. You think telling more people about it would get easier since you're relaying the same message over and over, but it wasn't. I told my mom first, then my sister, then my brother. By the time I told my brother, I couldn't even say it. It came out in a bunch of sobs. But the medication seems to be working (she's really perked up) and she's back to gorging herself on her food. Though since it's wet food, she's done in just under ten seconds. I go back next Monday to have another check up. I'm just praying that everything turns out okay.

On a happier note, I'm a few paragraphs away from finishing chapter one of my pirate story (timepond will like that ), and I'm also doing a painting for my niece for her first birthday that corresponds with her crib quilt. I also saw Brave. Twice. And I'm going again. I absolutely loved that movie. It's become one of my all time favorites already.

I have not posted anything as of late. There are a few reasons why: I've been working on larger surfaces, so drawings/paintings can't be scanned, and I really don't have the patience to upload a bunch of photos on here haha.

I am working on drawing the Greek gods and goddesses. So far I've completed Artemis and I'm working on Ares. The paper is 24 x 18 inches. I've completed a total of three somewhat good paintings, and I'm in the process of a third. I'll probably figure out a way to photograph them since scanning will probably not work, since my scanner only scans 8.5 x 11 inch paper.

As for photography, I have my mom's wedding pictures to upload And I'm going to Seattle next week, so there will be photos of that too.

I've also been looking into colleges, since I'll be out of high school in a year, and I was looking into concept art as a career. I am looking into Full Sail University or into an art institute, so hopefully that works out.

I've been looking into learning archery and sword fighting. Yes, I'm a nerd. And hopefully, once I get money, I'll be able to get to do that. And it won't be just any sword fighting. It'll be medieval long sword fighting

Anyway, I'm sure I put everyone who read this to sleep, but this is my life right now :3
